Also, they come to eat great Italian food, and there is an almost endless supply in the area. For the Bronx Borough President to officially recognize the area as one of “America’s Great Streets” shows just how important and valuable it is to the community. Because of this, there will be even more tourists from all over America and the world coming into the neighborhood to see what makes it so special. In addition, this indicates that it will have to accommodate even more visitors, and that will in turn bring valuable revenue to the area. The money earned would be put to good use through the community, whether it includes fixing the infrastructure or holding community relation meetings/holiday events. In all, this has been a much-needed source of welcome pride that the neighborhood is known for.
